To Feel Alone
This movie is the experience of a child teen who runs away in the town of Portland. It is about a quiet reflective girl who is in a power struggle. She wants to be in control and deals with it by running. It doesn't help because her mother cannot hear her. Hurt and Angry but quiet and restrictive. She wants to find love and connection. Their is an element of beauty in the setting of the city and the fall of the leaves in parks and outer limits of the townscape. The bridges and the walks thru the city felt real and peaceful, it was the buildings against the sky against the townscape, they were alone but there were people, they were inner, they being the boy she meets and falls in with. He is harder to find, his character is lost and it comes out, it is hard to feel a connection with him as the viewer. Her life may have turned out quite differently if she had not found Devon and had the baby. These are parts of the film to be explored. I loved the truck that said soul food. I love soul...
