Bullets over Brownsville



REAL MEN DO REAL THINGS
This is a story about Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY, far more watchable than "Snow on the Bluff." The film covers a number of violent stories of people with dreams of escaping Brownsville, a community with invisible fences.

The picture makes a statement about the media's influence on violence and drives it home to the point of ad nauseum. Eva Da Diva (Ebony Ross) has her own modest Internet site. She wants to get out of "The Hood." She emulates Lil' Kim and loves rapper Danger (Anthony 'Face' Gibson).

Donte (Jumaane Ford Jr.) is a young boy who is harassed by a group of his peers called "Da Yungunz". He likes violent video games and emulates rapper Danger. He pictures himself killing his tormentors over and over in his mind.

Lymiek Chambers is in this film as Lymiek, a man who has been touched by death but has survived.

Mark (Jamel Staton) is an amateur camera man who shoots videos in "The Hood." His video of a murder is perplexing until we...
